    For instance, a sub with trun speed of 1 takes an agonizing 15 seconds just to turn 90º...

    however dive/surface is very if not most important as it allows for dogding incoming torpedoes to avoid being hit.

    In my experience, a high turning speed is absolutely crucial in multiple sub encounters. But not so important in one to one duels.
