So I got beat dozens of times by dudes with gold karts, jumping all over the track? How on earth does that weird jumping everywhere 'technique' make you faster?

    it's strange but it takes away the friction of the car on the ground. i'm guessing it has to do with the diffrence in the physics in anti gravity and normal. just a theroy... A GAME THEORY!

    It's called "Fire Hopping" (blame Kotaku for that terrible name sticking) Just a method for going further with your orange miniturbo basically. You need to hop side to side in order to achieve its effect once you release the turbo. A good example is wstching Cloudtop Cruises TT on the boost pad section, which this also works well with, but is trickier.
