    It wipes me out with it's main attack. I'm a reasonably high level, but I just can't defend against it. I don't know whether to try reflect or shield, and the only characters I can rely on giving out damage is my thief (godspeed) and spellsword-monk.

    You mean Energy Burst? Doesn't Default work? It's a physical attack so neither of those will work. You can only damage it, when it has transformed and his shield disappeared. (You mean Spell Fencer, right?^^)

    That did the trick. I think I've got this one. My other two characters are a freelancer-knight who does hardly any damage, and a red mage-summoner, who, admittedly, is very adept at healing everyone with her blessed shield.

    This is Tiz' (my freelancer/knight) regular attack damage. Yet it would have been enough to kill him had he not used blood drain...

    I needed a try to work out that Default-strategy. Without it all my characters would die from that attack^^ Though now that's no longer the case, I'm stronger ;)
