I finished the two new cups on 100CC but I got stars on 50CC as well. Is that new to this update?

    It did that for me before there were any updates at all. When I did 150cc for a couple cups I got the stars on both 50cc and 100cc when I didn't have any for those cups.

    Then I guess I just missed that. My quest to get three stars on all cups could have been a whole lot shorter, in other words.
