When Luigi finally makes it he has to battle the possessed person which I decided is Mario. Luigi of course doesn't want to fight Mario but he has no choice. During the fight it is revealed King Boo possessed Mario. Luigi wins the battle and Mario is back to normal. King Boo then pulls Mario and Luigi through a portal. continued on next comment.
