That's an tough comparison. For its time, the Genesis was a pretty big deal, because it was the first console to give Nintendo a run for its money and it was the most powerful machine on the market. Although I love the Wii U, I would argue that the Genesis had a significantly bigger impact on gaming, so my vote goes to the Genesis.
