I don't have a New 3DS, nor am I Left-Handed!!!! But, I'm glad it's useful for you!!!! However, there was an add-on for the normal 3DS that you could slot the system into that had a Left-Hand Circle Pad!!!! I can't remember what it's called off of the top of my head, but that would've come in handy, too!!!!
