It's a little offensive, but I've heard WAY worse. Besides, it's totally chill to be either a casual fan or a major otaku. I'm neither. I like Japanese stuff, but I'm not just going to totally switch to, 'I want to be Japanese!!!' I'm quite fine just being an awkward American kid with no life. But hey, maybe that's just me.
