I once had a dream not too long ago. Mermaids and mermen could walk on land and started to move into the modern cities. However the humans thought they were attacking so they called the police to arrest them all. Later, when we found out they meant no harm, we accepted them. But then some humans weren't treating the Merpeople as equals (kinda like black rights). So they fought for their freedom.
