I don't have the game but I looked it up for you. Apparently there are two modes for drawing, 'story board' and 'clean copy' story board is for jotting down ideas for a comic but clean copy is for the final pictures. In clean copy mode you should find more tools and colours to use so try that mode. I hope this helps :-)
