I like video game bosses since I feel they are climactic and a test of the player's combat skills. It is satisfying to be in an epic bout with a boss and just barely win or win incredibly efficiently with the skills you learned in the game. Also the music is usually awesome to listen to with my favorite being intense orchestral pieces.
