There's no rush. For each cycle, focus on either exploring, or making progress. "Progress" is finding a new item, or activating a new warp point. These are saved when you go back in time. For example: You reach the Southern Swamp and activate the owl statue. You then need more time to explore the swamp. So you reset time, and then warp to the statue you activated, and start exploring.
