Well, alone sticker star actually isn't bad. Put it next to the other 3 paper mario games, and it gets put to shame. It has almost none of the charm, no partners, makes you go hunting just for a specific sticker to beat an otherwise unfair boss, and doesn't even have actual level ups. By itself it's not terrible, but it's nothing compared to the others. There's also the fact that it has no story.
