What I did was put a bottle on the x/y slot, went into the pictobox view, switched out the bottle for the fierce deity mask, got out of the masks menu but stayed in pictobox view, and then pressed B and x/y simultaneously. You have to be careful using this because you can crash your game. It won't delete data though.
