the reason why it would be ironic is because a lot of the Pokémon Gen 5 introduced are flat-out some of the best competitively. Excadrill, Bisharp, Ferrothorn, Genesect, the Swords of Justice (specifically Keldeo and Terrakion), the Forces of Nature, Volcarona, Hydreigon, Victini, Reuniclus, Amoonguss, Galvantula... The list just keeps going, and even the not-so-good ones are still useful.
