ok so basically once a mii is sent traveling they can travel to other 3ds's using streetpass, your 3ds just has to be in sleep mode and you need to have streetpass on then if someone you pass, or that is within range of you has tomodachi life, they will get your mii and if they have a traveler it will come to your island, hopefully this helps,and if you have more questions, just ask
