@Mugen K No worries, I won't quote things, but you're right. Kojima just wanted the story to finish and just leave the series as it is. If I remember correctly, he wanted to stop after working on MGS2:SOL, but he was pressured/convinced to do MGS3:SE and onward, so he wasn't interested in doing other projects like that.
