well there are two kinds of cosplay: serious or for fun. if you want a serious cosplay you have to look like the character and have its features like height, body type and build etc. if you are doing it for fum then that doesn't matter as long as the costume is acurrate. also if you are low on budget try simple cosplays from series like fairy tale, one piece, dragon ball z.
