They removed random tripping, fixed the ledge mechanic, made the game faster and less floaty, added the new Classic Mode and Special Orders, nerfed OP characters, buffed needy characters, continued balancing the game after release, and several other things I don't feel like naming. Now if only Sakurai didn't make the cruddy 3DS version. Then we could have had a near flawless, glitchless game.
