-match modes can turn the tables so easily, that sometimes, you're faced with impossible odds. It's not balanced or skill based, and it takes up too much time. Maybe they thought making it similar Smash Run wouldn't give much diversity between version, but the Wii U version already has more than enough of that, so I think this game would have been perfectly fine for Smash Run on Wii U version.
