Oh? That's interesting. Yeah, the villans could have been better, but, for me, the biggest part was instead of a rival that was hell-bent on beating you, I felt like the game focused more on the relationships between characters. Sure, they could do a whole game just on those intrapersonal relationships, but, it's pokemon. Story and characters have never been Game Freak's strong suit.
