I may be wrong, but I do think she just needs to vent to someone. Not a group, just one person in particular. It could help her sort out priorities and problems she may have, or even find solutions. Therapy would be great for that, but she seems like she's not in a good situation for that... Maybe just someone that knows what they're talking about.
