Maniac Mansion for the NES. It's made me much better at breaking and entering- should the need ever arise- it also taught me to look at a glass jar and think... "Y'know, I'll bet that if I fill that jar with water, and put it in the microwave alongside an envelope containing a demo tape, it just might meet the conditions for me to be able to apply stamps to that there envelope!"
