I feel like the trophy was made because they just want more ads for the game. When people go and buy ryu and roy, they'll get the trophy and be like "oh, inkling better buy splatoon" then after they get it, the sakurai announces inkling in smash, thus sakurai just made you spend what I assume to be over $100. $60 for splatoon, lots of money for everything else.
