I understand that logic, but at the same time, are people really gonna buy a new system just to get a new Smash Bros. game that they may or may not like? Probably not, and because more people own a 3DS, I think it made some sense that Nintendo decided to make a 3DS version. That's just my theory, though. I completely understand your logic.
