I'm almost certain it's a 8.0 gate. I think I can barely get through it all on 9.0 or at least reach a check point that's close to the end of the flying section. Turning up the difficultly to max could only give you insurance for reaching that stage's intensity gate if your really good at land and air combat which I'm not. :|
