The only reason why Pit may seem weak is that he is a balanced character. Balanced characters are known to have equally split brawn, speed, and defense. Pit is a character that can't be picked up and mastered in one day. The most important thing about balanced characters is finding how to turn the battle to your favor, offensively/defensively. From there, you can use Pit to punish.
