Well the only things that shadow can do that sonic cannot is the chaos spear and chaos blast. Sonic has shown in adventure 2 he can use chaos control to teleport and stop time. I saw someone say something about shadow having a motorcycle (which is unnecessary) sonic owns a plane that he lets tails use because he'd rather be on the wing. Sonic probably would win because he won't give up.
