...There's a difference between stylised and inaccurate. Also, don't just draw your reference picture over and over. Once you've drawn it a few times, start trying to draw your own picture using the reference as a guide. Are they walking in the reference? Try drawing them running, or sitting, or interacting with something. The reference is a guide, not a set of rules.
