I agree with you on this. But admittedly, the competitive scene is a ton of fun too. There have been crazy and exciting moments in them, but in truth Smash is the party game for casual fun with those crazy stage hazzards and items. People who main characters for tier placement is also stupid. I play Ness because he's fun and I love EarthBound.
