And some of the towns in III have the names of places that don't exist in our time anymore, or straight up mythological place names, with a few current real place names mixed in. And then there's Armoroad which is completely nwe. Maybe they just give new names to places with trees and for the rest they go through ancient documents and pick whatever sounds best. :P
