It seems to be a reference to Smash Bros. Pick a fighter, use one set of abilities, and wreck havoc. It even has a 4-player layout like smash and similar hazards, so yes. Even some of the Kirby-related smash items are here (Invincibility lolipop, blue boxes etc etc) so it's basically Kirby Smash.
