Quickscoping is a high skill/high reward technique born out of desperation. If you prefer not to carry a secondary and spend that point somewhere else you will eventually encounter a situation where you will need to kill somone close very quickly. That's where a quickscope comes into play. It is also considered to take more skill than hardscoping and also be flashier.
