To each his own, I suppose. To be fair, using a Wiimote is MUCH harder than using a regular dual analog stick controller. the slightest movement can throw off your aim, and thusly your shots. It spells death. I'd give it a shot if you haven't tried it. It's different, and takes practice. Adds a much bigger in-depth playing feel to it.
