Chronologically PWvsPL takes place somewhere between 3 and AJ. But I also played it at the end (only before I2). I'm not a huge fan of Layton as well (played the first 3 games, then gave up on it). PlvsPW is pretty much 50% Layton and 50% Ace Attorney. The story is awesome (the ending terrible), the AA parts as good as in the original series. I really enjoyed it apart from the truly awful ending
