I wish that was the case, but instead we get that heartbreaking story that makes you feel awful for killing them. Killing them together is supposed to be pretty sad too. I've killed Victor first a few times and that's pretty awful too. There are very few asterisk bearers I don't feel bad for. Even the ones who do seem happy just end up getting killed...
