no, actually. you need to get the wind waker first. you get the wind waker after completing the volcano dungeon on dragon roost island. after you get it you'll learn the wind's aria which will allow you to sail back to windfall. show it to that guy and he'll attempt to teach you the song of passing.(the day to night song)
