What doesnt make sense to me is the way some characters act [the delivery dude for example.] So why even bother putting in characters that act like they have feelings for you when you can't even date them? However, I do agree that this isn't the main plot and if one wanted to, they could go and play a dating sim game but it would keep things interesting if you could have some sort of relationship.
