As far as augments go, adding Appendage Crusher augments gives a huge bump to the Core Crusher + Ether weapon set-up. Each enemy body part has a 'hardness/softness' stat, ranging from -5 to 5, each Appendage Crusher applies a -1 to a targeted part. At -5, you do +250% damage with every hit to body parts, which don't break thanks to Core Crusher, which then does even more damage...awesome combo.
