Rarity just determines how many abilties it has, no other stats. The best abilities that can be found on a Spatha are Potential Boost, which ups Blossom Dance's damage, and Melee Attack Up, which ups the damage of regular arts like True Stream Edge..both are affected by the arts' Hit Scaling. Weapon Attack Power Up gives a lesser overall boost to all attacks as it isn't affected by Hit Scaling.
