If you keep getting brought back, you're getting "lost". The embers will change direction several times. So it's best to walk a little, stop, watch the wind blew the embers, and walk a little more. The second you see smoke getting ready to surround you, you went too far in the wrong direction- turn a 180 and run before it's too late.
