Seeing all these people appreciating your art, I'm pretty sure you're doing just fine. Don't beat yourself up just because your art isn't living up to others. In my opinion, art is an abstract thought or idea left to one's interpretation and/or opinion. At least you're not drawing a bunch of jagged shapes and implicating that something is within it. I've seen that a lot in my art class.
