He's been right handed for over a decade now. It's not exactly new. It got changed, because of the original Wii's motion controls, and most people being right handed. Fun fact, Twilight Princess is both the last console game with him left handed and first game with him right happened. He's left handed in the Gamecube version, and right handed on the Wii. The levels are also flipped.
