Wow, it looks awesome! Looking forward to seeing more of your works! I like giving loads of colors so much, that it's hard for me to limit myself to just 3... I'll try, though. I reckon that Megaman was one of instances, where they layered sprites to give an impression of there being more colors for the sprites. That's some trivia that I'm sure you know already...
