1st - Pressing start allows you to suspend save. Although granted it's not great, there is one 2nd - Character development is there and more characters join you, which imo have a solid personality which is likeable 3rd - Again, more characters join throughout the story, having up to 15 characters to use 4th - Unfortunately, it's true, gameplay is poor and could be better
