Probably the same reason Xenoblade X bombed in comparison to the first game on Wii. Zero advertising. The marketing team for Nintendo in America is absolute trash, I'll never forget how cringe that Tokyo Mirage trailer was. And a slap in the face to titling the trailer for Fatal Frame 'very spoopy'.
