D-fekt was an anti-climatic villain. This game had some potential build up for him, yet went absolutely nowhere. D-Fekt was just an abused with daddy issues. D-fekt didn't look like a big threat for Sonic and the gang to defeat. While the cutscenes and writing were slightly better than Shattered Crystal's, the story was still bland.
