Gunvolt wont admit it but he cares deeply for Joule, he probably think of Joule as more than a friend, on the first game he failed to protect Joule causing her to almost die, in the end she is still alive but only as a Muse that resides in his body, this saddened Gunvolt as its almost the same as having no freedom since Joule has no body of her own
