Dr Robotnik was ALWAYS like this, Mistreating his Robots when they fail to stop/catch Sonic & Friends. Remember Scratch & Grounder? There're a reason why they're called "Nincombots". (The only one he seems to never complain or abuses is Metal Sonic.)
