Next was a Ratatta named Bucky, a Zubat named Acro, and a failed Bellsprout. I stopped till nightime to enter Bellsprout cave to catch a Gastly. I was able to get one for my first encounter, and named it Elbafelc for obvious reasons if you are into Pokemon theories.
